2011 Boulder Creek 9 Hole Ladies’ League

The 2011 Boulder Creek Ladies Golf League will play every Wednesday, from May 11 through September 7th. Wednesday nights will begin with a shotgun start at 6:00pm, & 9 holes of play. We will conclude each evening with dinner specials and prizes. In addition to weekly net scoring prizes, we will have skill and no-skill prizes. Duplicate winners will be limited. Every week will feature a different play format, announced and scheduled in advance. Games will cover a wide range of play including putting, accuracy, and hazard draws.

We invite you to attend our Ladies League Meet & Greet Night on April 27 at 6:00pm. Here you will receive a brief introduction to the planned formats and learn the scoring for weekly net scores, as we have tweaked the scoring and some of the formats this year. You will also have the opportunity to meet our staff who will be there each week to guarantee you have a great season. At this time we will distribute prepaid passes and receipts, as well as confirm your registration information. It is highly recommended that all players buy prepaid passes. You will save money and time. To greatly speed up the check-in process, we will have a dedicated check-in line for prepaid passes. In addition please feel free to bring any interested friends. The league will fill up fast, so be sure to attend!

We encourage players to register as a foursome, however we also gladly welcome individual golfers. If you choose to register individually, we will place you in a compatible four-lady team based on your handicap. On special weeks we will combine teams, allowing lots of interaction between the players. As there will be many team contests and prizes, we encourage you to give your team a name.

This year we are pleased to offer group lessons with our Teaching Professionals, Luc and Sam. These lessons will cost $20 per person for a one-hour lesson. Whether you are a beginner, or simply need a refresher on technique, skills and etiquette, this is an excellent learning opportunity at a fantastic price! Although, just for signing up we will be hosting a group lesson at 6:00pm Wednesday May 4. Alternative days and times, as well as private lessons, can be arranged at your convenience.

Based on experience, we are confident that we offer the best Ladies League in the Calgary golf area. We are intent on providing a well-organized and fun evening of golfing and socializing. Become part of the Boulder Creek family and join today!

Teams & Scoring Format

1. This league requires four player teams for the duration of the season. Individual players are welcome and will be placed on a team.
2. Each individual scores points for their team which are accumulated both weekly and throughout the season. Net handicap scores are used to accumulate points. Points are scored as follows:

1. Grand Team Prize- 12-16 person weekend afternoon golf tournament in September 2011.
2. Each team’s top 14 weekly scores will be used for the year end grand prizes. After 14 weeks of play, you may up-grade your totals by playing all 18 weeks to better your scores.
3. Some weeks teams will be mixed and play with other teams.
4. Scoring format is subject to change.
5. Guests are welcome if your group is short a player. The guest must pay the weekly prize amount plus the 9 hole green fee. Guests are allowed to play only upon availability.
6. Each week the kitchen will have at least 2 features for you to enjoy. All prizes will be handed out the night of the event, but you must be present to receive your prize. If you are not present the prize will be given to another player.
7. All league rules are available upon request.

Weekly Theme Nights and Prizes

1. “Lady Luck ” Before, after, or during the round a designated area will be located. Each golfer will play from the given location; it could be from behind a tree, over a trap, or any difficult area to a difficult pin location. Each golfer will keep their score from this location separate from your regular score, 3 prizes will be awarded.
2. “Blind Holes Night” 3 Holes will be randomly picked & your scores will be used on these holes, 3 prizes will be awarded.
3. “Mulligan Night” Three mulligan’s will be allowed by each player. One on the tee box, one on the fairway, and one on the green. 5 prizes will be awarded.
4. “Sponsorship Night” Each player will try their luck at beating our Pro. All will hit from 100 – 150 yards out with marked balls. The Pro will then hit and all the players that beat the Pro will go into a draw for 5 prizes. FREE GIFTS FROM OUR SPONSOR WILL BE GIVEN AWAY.
